Scylla AG was founded on September 3, 1973 as a family company under the name Scylla Tours AG. In autumn 2010 the name was changed to Scylla AG. In October 1973 the first ship, the Scylla, was converted from a tug to a passenger ship. She started as a river cruise ship in Central Europe in March 1974. In March 1978 the second ship, the Calypso, was added. As of May 2020, the shipping company had 31 river cruise ships, most of which sail under the Swiss flag.

Under the supervision of Edelweiss Gastro and RSR Nemo, a crew is recruited that meets the Scylla standards. Each of them is recruited, trained and accommodated under the guidance of the Scylla AG in-house staff. This way we assure journeys with excellent service. But the Scylla service does not stop there. We go the extra mile when it comes to servicing our customers and their guests. Scylla draws up the most beautiful itineraries across the European waterways, takes care of administrative matters, such as registration of the ships for locks, berths or ports. And of course, we can also arrange shore excursion programs.

On board, our guests are welcomed by our friendly, multi-lingual and international crew members who take care of their well-being and comfort on board from morning till night. Some of our ships are also built to optimize the comfort of disabled passengers by installing passenger lifts and stair lifts.

On December 26, 2017, the Swiss Crystal collided with a bridge pillar of the A 42 near Duisburg. 25 people were injured, the majority of them slightly.

At around 2 a.m. on September 19, 2019, the Swiss Crown rammed the railway bridge in Konz on the Moselle above Trier . The roof of the wheelhouse was torn down.

On December 19, 2019, the MS Thurgau Prestige collided head- on with a tanker on the Rhine near Speyer . Around 20 people were injured.

The grand entrance of MS Annabelle welcomes you into the reception area of the ship. From here on your journey to discover this lovely ship can start. Directly connected to the reception area, the lounge and bar area can be found. Going to the lower deck, you enter the main restaurant. This restaurant has the capacity of seating all guests at the same time. Additionally, the bistro at the back of the ship offers a more secluded experience for a la cart breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack. Treating yourself is easy if you have enough possibilities. The hair- and nail salon, a massage salon, and fitness facilities are at the disposal of guests.

The cabins on board of MS Annabelle are designed to feel at home from the minute you walk in. A shower, toilet, hair blower, individual air-conditioning, TV, radio, minibar, Nespresso machine, safe and phone are at your disposal. In total, 6 suites, 2 three-person cabins, and 82 double cabins can be found on MS Annabelle. The upper and middle deck feature French balconies and all cabins are outward faced.

安娜贝尔少女号的船舱设计致力于营造一种宾至如归的感觉，淋浴、卫生间、吹风机、独立空调、电视、收音机、迷你吧、咖啡机机器、保险箱和电话等设施一应俱全。安娜贝尔少女号总共有6间套房、2间三人房和82间双人房，上层和中层甲板为法式阳台风格，所有舱室窗口均朝外开设，以便于欣赏两岸风光。
